In the center of the city there is its main and most beautiful sight, Ulmer Münster. It is the highest cathedral in the world. The building is made in the Gothic style; the construction of the cathedral has begun in 1377 and has lasted for several years. The building impresses with its imposing scale. The length of the cathedral is 123 meters and its width is 49 meters, while the height of the nave is 41 meters. The perfect religious building fascinates with its interior, so travelers would have an opportunity to admire exquisite stained glass windows, priceless relics and works of art.
Among other architectural attractions Stadthaus located near the cathedral is worth noting. It is a spectacular modern building of concrete and glass, making an amazing contrast to the strict building of the cathedral. One of the best architects of the United States has created the project; the construction of the building was completed in 1993.
An interesting tourist attraction is the Valentinskapelle. A miniature chapel was built in the second half of the 15th century following order of one of the notables of the city. The construction has perfectly preserved to this day; church-office is continued here. Fans of historical sites are recommended to walk around Auf dem Kreuz, which strikes with an abundance of beautiful old buildings.
