A regular city walk can turn into an exciting tour too. In the streets, you can see well-preserved buildings of various periods at every corner. A striking architectural monument is the old Town Hall building Oldenburg Rathaus attractive with its richly decorated facade. Many beautiful historic buildings are concentrated around the old Market Square. Here you can find one of Olderburg's main religious symbols - St. Lambert's Church. An architectural monument with an amazing history is the Kulturzentrum building. It was built more than a hundred years ago and once housed the largest hospital in the city. Over time, it lost its original importance and was abandoned for some time. The city authorities decided to save the historical monument and converted it into a cultural center, which now hosts concerts, literary evenings, and art exhibitions.
