Karlsruhe - Roadster/Convertible Hire

Searching for open roof cars

Preset configuration of the white form above - search for an exotic car or a cabriolet at 'Karlsruhe Downtown'. Address: Hosnellstr. 1B, Karlsruhe, Germany.

In Karlsruhe, we provide vehicles at 6 different rental locations. Cars with a folding roof are rather of a rare type, so they are mostly offered in airports and railway stations.

We advise booking a cabriolet in Germany in advance (several weeks or even several months prior to your trip), since the availability of convertibles in our car park is quite limited.

Karlsruhe, Germany: cabriolet rental hints
The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in Germany are: BMW 3 series Cabriolet, Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet, Audi A3 Convertible, Audi A4 Convertible and BMW Z4 Roadster.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Karlsruhe require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in Germany is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Karlsruhe and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Karlsruhe, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

OrangeSmile.com wishes you an exciting journey with an open roof around Germany!

Driving Advices for Germany – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
There are also traffic lights that are equipped with radar and several cameras. They register violators and send this data to the police. Once the violation is confirmed, the driver will receive a fine sent by mail.
Do not even get into the car simply to relax after you drink alcohol – this is simply not accepted here. Staying in a car in a state of alcoholic intoxication is already a reason for the police to issue a fine. It will be also almost impossible to prove that the driver was not planning to go anywhere.
In case of a car accident the local police will be involved in the investigation only indirectly. Most of the work is done by employees of insurance companies. Police officers only make a protocol and transfer it to participants of an accident. The record of the accident recorded by DVR should also be given to insurance company officers.

Enjoying sights of Karlsruhe in cabriolet
Admirers of contemporary art will like the State Art Gallery, located in the center of the historical district. The building itself which houses the museum, is of great historical value. It was built in 1846. The collection of the museum is unique, and many of its exhibits are more than 500 years old. The collection of medieval engravings and pictures brought from various European countries are presented in it. On the territory of this museum, there is a small greenhouse, which is used for exhibitions of contemporary art.

An interesting historical symbol of the city is the Castle of Gottesaue. It was built on the site of an ancient Benedictine abbey. The construction of the castle began in 1588 and lasted nine years. During the long history of the castle, it was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt. In 1818, it was converted into a barracks, and in the first half of the 20th century, it housed a multi-apartment building. The historical building was badly damaged during the Second World War. The castle was completely restored only by 1982. Currently, the castle is the location of a musical institute.
