Guests of Cologne have an opportunity to live several days in an ancient monastery if they choose to stay at HOPPER Hotel et cetera . This hotel occupies a unique historic building that once was used as a monastery. Designers decided to take into consideration the noble past of the building when developing a concept for the new hotel. As much of the original décor as possible was preserved in the hotel’s design. Upon entering, guests will see quite an unusual receptionist desk and a lobby with antique furniture. They will also see a monk sitting on one of the wooden benches – this is a sculpture, but it looks very realistic. All rooms are made in modern style, and some rooms come with a charming private balcony. Travelers, who decided to visit the hotel during warm part of the year, can relax on the open terraces located in the charming inner yard.
HOPPER Hotel St. Josef is a no less interesting place. Contrary to the above-mentioned hotel, it is open in a former chapel. Just like the previous hotel, HOPPER Hotel St. Josef is a very interesting place with a distinct atmosphere of the past. Guests will find there much of the original décor, including arched ceilings with fretwork and beautiful stained-glass windows. The historic splendor is perfectly combined with modern design elements. The spacious hall with stained-glass windows is the location of the library, where guests will find books from different parts of the world.
