Montpellier, France: cabriolet rental hints
The most widespread cabriolet models offered for rent in France are: BMW 3 series Cabriolet, Peugeot 206 Cabriolet, Renault Megane Cabriolet, Audi A3 Convertible, Audi A4 Convertible and BMW Z4 Roadster.

At the booking time, please check the rental conditions carefully. Quite often, rental offices in Montpellier require two credit cards to guarantee issuance of a cabrio or a roadster.

We recommend ordering additional no-excess insurance that covers your risk (franchise), since the franchise amount for cabriolets in France is quite high.

Make sure to inspect the rental invoice issued at the office in Montpellier and compare it with the information indicated in your voucher. Sometimes, rental officers make 'unintentional' mistakes in rental invoices.

In parking garage, examine the vehicle for defects and scratches carefully. If you find any of them, check whether they have been specified in your rental document.

When parking a cabriolet in Montpellier, it is recommended to unfold the roof and close windows in order to prevent theft or robbery.

If a roundabout crossing has the “Cédez Le Passage” sign or the “Vous n'avez pas la priorité” sign, then vehicles that move along the circle have the priority. If there are no signs, the priority is given to the vehicles that are about to enter the crossing.
It’s very easy to determine the type of a road in France. There is always a corresponding letter next to the number of each of them: “A” is for highways, “N” means national roads, “D” is for departmental roads, and “C” is for utility roads. The latter have a speed limit of 30 km/h.
It’s also very simple to determine the type of parking - the "blue zone" parking is an area where you can leave your car for no longer than 1.5 hours, the "green zone" is intended for a long-term parking, and in the "red zone" parking is prohibited.
