Not far from the Palace of Festivals is the beautiful temple of Notre-Dame de Bon Voyage, whose history is also very interesting. The very first chapel in its place was built in the 16th century. At that time it was surrounded only by dilapidated fishing huts. The temple, which travelers can admire now, was built in the second half of the 19th century. Now it is surrounded by the most significant city attractions.
Among the local sacred sites, it is worth mentioning the Lerins abbey. It is a landmark of national importance. This ancient monastery is visited by pilgrims from all over the world. It is located on the picturesque island of Saint-Honorat. The monastery is a large and incredibly compound complex of buildings, including churches, fortifications and outbuildings. Surrounding the monastery is a large beautiful garden, a walk along which is also an obligatory part of the excursion. For many years, this monastery has been famous for producing wonderful wine and liqueurs. Right on its territory monks grow oranges, lavender and grapes, from which with secret recipes, they brewed wonderful drinks.
