Fans of nature attractions can take interesting excursions around the Laajalaht Nature Reserve. On its territory, there is an interesting historical attraction. This is the old Villa Elfik built for one of the local baroness in 1904. Nowadays, the old historical building serves as a natural-science museum that tells its visitors about the nature of this place. There are also a lot of interesting hiking routes in the reserve.
In the city surroundings, there is the Raseborg Castle. The magnificent strengthening construction has been only partially preserved to this day. The exact date of the castle construction is not known. It is suggested that it was built in 1374. The castle was constructed on the cliff top and was used as intended until the 19th century. Today, the historical building is being reconstructed. For the natives, the ruins of the fortress are a place where interesting events are often held. Here, unusual markets in the medieval style are opened and festivals and fairs are held.
