The process of a car reservation on consists of 3 simple steps: (1) search by the dates and pick-up location, (2) car type selection, and (3) booking form completion. After the booking, you will receive a rental voucher at your e-mail address.

Before selecting a specific model to book, check your planned routes. If you are going to drive mostly within the Dubai borders, choose a car of 'Standard' or 'Compact' types. Driving Advices for Emirates – Traffic Regulations and Road Usage Peculiarities
Previous hints
As a rule, multi-level interchanges remain the main problem for inexperienced motorists in the UAE. Sometimes it is difficult to understand what way to move and even navigator is almost helpless. Given that the speed of driving is high, drivers have almost no time to think. Sometimes you will need several attempts to get to the right exit.
If you have a GPS navigator in the car, it is better to look at it, and not to listen. The road map displayed on the navigator’s screen will help you navigate through numerous junctions and exits, while “voice guidance” is not always efficient.
The fact that all roads in the country are numbered makes driving even simpler. Even small dirt roads have a unique number. While driving, you should always check the signs along the road. That will surely help you.

Rental, parking and other info on Al Maktoum International Airport
Al Maktoum International Airport is one of the two international airports of Dubai city. It is a relatively new airport, which was opened in 2010. At the initial stage of its construction, there were several suggestions for the airport name. In 2007, it was named in honour of a member of the ruling dynasty of Dubai, the late sheikh. When its expansion is completed, the airport will be able to service 200 million passengers a year and become the world's largest one. At the present time, 5 runways and 3 passenger terminals operate here.

The airport is connected with the city and the other international airport by buses, taxis, and limousines. Buses of route number F55 depart from the terminals and go to the Ibn Battuta Dubai Metro Station, and those of route number F55A go to the Satwa Bus Station. You can quickly and conveniently reach any place of the city with the help of the official taxi service "RTA taxis". A free shuttle bus runs between Terminals 1 and 3. Besides, the terminals are connected by the underground line.

Several major international car rental companies provide their services in Al Maktoum International Airport. These are Budget, Alamo, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, National, Avis, Dollar, Thrifty, Sixt, and some other smaller companies, such as Max Car Rental, Payless, Autorent, W&B Rent a Car. The information desks of the representatives of the companies are located in the arrival hall of the passenger terminals. The companies, whose car rental facilities are not placed in the terminal buildings, meet their customers and take them to the offices, where they will be able to receive their leased cars, free of charge.

The hire cost already includes all additional charges and taxes. However, if you need some additional options (for example, a baby seat, introducing the second driver into the contract, installation of navigator, and so on), you will have to pay extra in accordance with the fixed tariffs. All companies may offer a wide range of cars of different classes. According to the rules, you are required to present an international driver's license, but a domestic driving permit is often accepted, if the data are written in Latin alphabet.

The customers return the leased cars in Parking A, in Rental car return zone. When making a reservation, you can choose another place in the city where you will return a vehicle. Even if the contract is already signed, having notified the company in good time, you can change the site where the car will be returned.

You may hire a vehicle not only in a car rental office, but also with the help of the online service (for instance, flydubai or a similar one). Read all...

Fans of meat food should definitely try Makbus - roast lamb meat with rice, which is flavored with various herbs and spices as it cooks. Haris is a more refined dish. This is gentle lamb stewed with sprouted wheat. Biryani is another original dish. As a rule, in every restaurant it is cooked in accordance with their own unique original recipe.
