Among other interesting museums you will find in the city, there is the Australian Museum of Magical Arts, where you can learn the secrets of illusionists. A tour of the museum would be very informative, and most of all, the little citizens will certainly like it here. The Madame Tussauds Museum presents wax figures of celebrities like, Mahatma Gandhi, James Cook, Audrey Hepburn, Adele, Rihanna, Hugh Jackman (who is a native of the city at the bay), and the royal family of Great Britain. There are also wax figures of pilots and surfers. Australian National Maritime Museum acquaints visitors with the traditional craft of Sydney, which means it deserves a visit too.
One thing you will not expect to find in Sydney is a synagogue. That notwithstanding, there is one here, and it is called the Great Synagogue. You can find it not far from Hyde Park. The building is beautifully designed, and is one of the oldest in the city. A beautiful example of architectural art is St. Patrick’s Church. The cathedral was built in 1840 and is famous for its amazing stained glass windows and beautiful organ. There is also an Orthodox church here called St. Spyridon Orthodox Church. It was built in the year 1975 in honor of the Greeks who died during World War II (the Greek community in the city is very widely represented).
