The staircases of the Empire State Building have 1860 stairs, but nobody uses them to get to the very top: the building has 73 elevators (some of them were made especially for tourists). On the 86th floor, at the height of 320 meters takes place the scenic viewpoint with the fantastic view on New-York. When the weather is clear the visibility is more than 70 km. More than that, there is also a smaller glassed viewing point on the 102th floor, but for enter you'll have to pay another 15$. Every year the Empire State Building is visited by 3,5 million of tourists, which is in average 10 000 people a day! The illumination on the top of the building is every time different: its color is changed in relation to the season or special occasions (during the US Open the top becomes yellow like the tennis ball, on Christmas it's green with red).
5th Avenue. New-York can offer you a great number of various shops, starting with very cheap and ending with unreasonably expensive. The most fabulous market street of the city is 5th avenue, in which you'll find the well-known skyscrapers of New-York: the Empire State Building and the Trump Tower (it belongs to multi-millionaire Donald Trump). St Patrick's Church is also located there. It seems to be tine in comparison with the other gigantic buildings. Another interesting place is Rockefeller Center, where you can visit the Radio City Music Hall.
