Those, who expect to exchange remaining dinars to another currency after vacations, should definitely keep all receipts issued by banks and exchange offices. Reverse exchange is only possible when suitable currency is available.
Travelers who expect to make calls to other cities and countries are recommended to use special street phones. Typically, they are located close to all major hotels and public institutions, and take coins.
It is more convenient to travel around the city by taxi; all cars are painted in bright yellow. Payment is made according to the meter, however, foreign visitors are advised to discuss the cost of services with the driver and to remain vigilant. In the period from 8:00 pm to 7:00 am the tariff for taxis is doubled.
