Have you ever heard the tale of William Tell? It is a national legend of the Swiss countryside. There is a small town in Switzerland named Lucerne where the famous events took part ages ago. Some Germans call the town Luzerne because it is situated close to Germany and people speak both languages. If you go to the center of the country you surely pass Lucerne. It's the country's entrance. There are plenty of tourists in Lucerne, people like the town. From there you can begin your way to the Mount Rigi and other great sites of the beautiful European country. Wilgelm Tell legend is famous all over the world. If you study World history you know a lot about the town. Tourists flow to the city since 1850-ies. Mark Twain wrote about Lucerne in one of his best novels.
