Skillful masters work for several months over their creation. During the festival these huge figures and beautiful compositions can be easily seen in every district of Valencia. On the last day of the festival, when darkness falls on the city, both locals and visitors gather in the city’s squares in order to watch the ritual of burning these figures.

It is believed that first compositions were built yet in the 18th century. Incredible compositions, which are created by modern masters, deserve the highest praise. During five days the city hosts exciting parades, solemn processions and entertaining performances. There are many fairs, where visitors can enjoy excellent meals and buy memorable souvenirs. Children are also welcome to participate in many interesting events, theatrical performances and concerts.
