Andalusia is the tourist region of the country; a huge amount of important sightseeing objects can be found there. The world famous palace complex of Alhambra that has become synonymous with luxury and romance is situated in Andalusia. The unique palace complex overlooks Granada; it is situated on a high hill and covers almost the whole of its territory. Walking through the halls of the palace gives a lot of experience; rooms are full of unique artifacts and priceless works of art.
In Seville there is the largest church in the country, La Catedral. It is ranked third in the world; it is very impressive and incredibly beautiful building. Construction of the cathedral has begun in 1401 and was completed only four centuries later. For years, work under its refined design was being continued; the interior of the temple fabulously beautiful. Within the walls of the cathedral there is the tomb of Christopher Columbus that’s another important object attracting thousands of travelers.
The important religious attraction is located in Cordoba, it is La Mezquita mosque. Modern travelers know it as the Cathedral of St. Mary, which is considered to be the patron of Andalusia. The mosque has been built in the 9th century; it was converted into Christian church in 1236. The mosque is very interesting from an architectural point of view, as its construction has a lot of amazing features.
