The large-scale architectural complex was built back in the 13th century during the reign of Mohammed I. Unfortunately, only think fortification walls and several towers have survived from the original building. The height of one of the towers is 26 meters. Its top is equipped with a large observation deck, from which visitors can enjoy splendid panoramic views of the city.
Arabic Wall is a no less interesting architectural attraction of the city. The line of walls, which have survived till our days in a great state, starts not far away from Triunfo Square. The walls are decorated with skillful painting and stone carving, which fully convey the splendor of culture of first settlers of the city, who lived here in the 9th century. The above-mentioned area is also the location of another very interesting excursion object - Puerta de Elvira Gate, the construction of which was completed in the 9th century.
