The program of the festival lasts for three days; it includes a lot of entertainment activities. Guests will know how to cultivate olive trees and how to take care of them; visitors would be invited to interesting workshops and tastings of delicious dishes. Chefs would demonstrate dishes, which couldn’t be cooked without olives and olive oil of good quality. Bruschetta and savory pasta, delicious pizzas and sauces deserve the highest praise; olives grown in Andalusia are considered to be among the best in the world. The festival also features immense fair. It’s also worth noting that there is a very interesting Museum of olives in Baena.
A very interesting event is taking place in mid-June in Almeria. During this period, locals traditionally celebrate the Holy Virgin Carmen being the patron saint of fishermen. Early in the morning, there is the solemn procession and it is a great honor to participate in it. This holiday is always accompanied by vivid music, dances and culinary events.
