March 1 is the time for a beautiful celebration that signifies the beginning of spring season - Bucharest celebrates the arrival of spring. This celebration is known as one of the oldest, so there are many good traditions and rituals connected with it. Martisor remains the main symbol of the holiday. This is a small wicker decoration made of white and red textile. The little gift is traditionally given to beloved people and friends. Martisor received as a gift must be carried by a person during the whole March. In April the decoration should be bred on a flowering tree. Do not forget to make a wish - the locals believe that it will certainly come true. Spring Festival is traditionally accompanied by large-scale festivals, funny performances, children's games and fairs.
