Photography and video shooting are permitted in most churches and museums of the city. However, in some institutions this may be available for a small additional fee. The only thing tourists must remember is not to use prohibited types of photo and video shooting. Do not use the flash during both photo and video shooting.
Museums and other cultural institutions usually have excursions on the Polish language, so travelers are recommended to purchase a guide in advance. You can also book excursions in other languages, but this should be also made in advance.
Do not forget to keep an eye on your belongings in public places. Do not leave your coats and bags unattended in cafes and restaurants of Warsaw. It is also not recommended to take large amounts of cash with you without any particular need.
When going for a walk, it is necessary to take a copy of your identity document. Documents and other valuables are better to be kept in a safe in your hotel room.
