One more famous building of Casablanca is Notre Dame de Lurd. This is a massive building decorated by colorful stained-glass windows that add lightness and elegance to the church. However, this is not the main religious sight of the city as Hassan II Mosque still wins the leadership. The mosque is located on the coast, making this place even more grandiose. Nowadays this building is used to keep the exhibition of National Museum. A large library is also located there. The museum keeps a rich exhibition of frescos, mosaics, Arabian interwoven ornaments, wooden items and sculptures. Hall for prayers is the largest one. It is decorated with 78 columns made of pink granite. The floors in this hall are made of onyx and the walls are decorated with handmade gilding writings.
