Cancun Pets-Friendly Hotels

On your way to Chichen Itza, just in the north of the city of Valladolid, you will have a chance to observe recent excavations in a place called Ek Balam that a re really worth visiting as the place is very well preserved.

If you happen to be in Mayan ruins take a chance and visit the surroundings near the city of Mérida (it is located in the west of Yucatan, 4 hrs. by car from Cancun) and make the Ruta Puuc. The route usually takes two days, as there are lots of things that may draw your interest, but if you do not have so much time, you had better start early in the morning. The most impressive places there are Uxmal, Sayil and Labna. They all are very large and are really well preserved. Then you can go to Chichen Itza and again: do not miss the villages on your way to the point as they all have their own value which is not less important then value of all the big cities and towns of the region. Sometimes they have even more places of interest.
