Kuala Lumpur can offer to its visitors quite a lot as to its sights and shopping. One of the places one shouldn't miss is the Petronas Twin Towers which are considered to be one of the world wonders. These towers used to be the highest buildings in the world. At the 41st and 42nd levels the towers are connected by a Skybridge. The towers are open for visitors on Tuesdays to Sundays from 8.30am to 5pm. Right at the towers, there is the beautiful KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre) shopping mall, selling only brand-name goods and several attractions such as the Petrosains Discovery Centre and the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. To get to the KLCC is not a problem either by taxi or the Light Rapid Transit train system; it is also possible to get from here to the major city hotels on foot.
Another interesting building is the KL Tower ('Minara KL') which is a telecommunication tower. The building looks like a great baby's rattle and is one of the world's highest concrete structures, it reaches 421m. If one is eager to visit this tower it is necessary to reserve tickets in advance.
