System of public transportation is presented with buses and trams by which tourists can reach any district of Modena. Tickets for a bus as well as for a tram will cost equally. Shop-a-holics should pay attention to genuine leather goods and footwear of local production as well as to knitwear and porcelain goods. Many stores offer these goods at rather attractive prices however this fact should not alarm the visitors as all goods feature excellent quality.
To buy some grocery and foods tourists should better set off to local market as it offers lower price tags than supermarkets and large stores do for the same goods. Setting off to the market one should have enough cash by oneself meanwhile supermarkets and large stores accept international credit cards.
Stores and public institutions start working at 00am and serve the customers till 4 – 6pm. During the daytime some of the institutions close for a lunch which lasts not more than one and a half hour. Large shopping and entertaining centers commonly work till 8 – 9pm.
