Speaking of the gastronomic traditions of the region, it’s certainly worth to mention Tipica Festival; its permanent venue is Castellana Grotte. This large-scale festival&exhibition is dedicated to the most popular products in the region; foodies come to participate in tastings even from distant China. All the festivities begin after 5:00 pm and continue until late at night. There are numerous gastronomic stands, where you can taste the best products; after 9:00 pm an exciting culinary show starts. Every evening, one of the famous chefs prepares a grand dinner; famous comedians and humorists try to assist him. Tipica Festival is one of the most unusual of its kind. It is usually carried out in the middle of summer, so it is a very interesting complement for recreational activities.
