Situated between the two seas (Aegean and the Mediterranean) in the northern part of Crete, this small town exists, seems, exclusively for tourists. In fact, the whole town is represented by the main street, which runs along the sea. Whole embankment consists of beaches. Perhaps, the only drawback of this hospitable town is quite a large pebble on beaches. However, this shortcoming can by overcome easily by sun loungers. The rest of the city is a true paradise for vacationers. Chersonissos almost borders with a bit smaller towns, such as charming resorts named Malia and Stalis. The distance to the administrative center of Crete estimates only 25 km. The path to Heraklion goes through Agios Nikolaos.
This town is home to approximately nine thousands of people, but they are almost invisible among tourists. Local people manage to create such an unobtrusive service that it seems everything is done by itself. The island is very popular among the British, Irish and Dutch tourists, so the majority of bars are made in the Dutch and Irish styles.
