Glasgow is a city located 35 kilometers away from the mouth of the Clyde River on the middle-Scottish lowland on the north-west of the Great Britain. Glasgow is the third largest city in the country. The name of this country means “green valley” or “the beloved green place” when translated from Gaelic. According to historians the name appeared already in VI century. In the beginning this was a small fishermen settlement, but during the development of colonial expansion of Great Britain together with Scottish bourgeoisie and industrial revolution Glasgow became one of the largest and most important ports and industrial centers of the country already in the middle of VIII century.
