Wurzburg is a city located on the south of Germany, on the north-west of Bavaria, on the Main River. The population of the city is more than 135 thousand of people (2007). Starting from XVIII century this city is traditionally referred to largest religious centers of Europe. Here are concentrated multiple churches, cathedrals, temples and chapels from different architectural epochs.
Wurzburg of our days is considered a large industrial center with well-developed metallurgy, textile, wood, chemical and other industries. Electronics and printing industry are also strong points of this place.
From the sights of this place we should definitely mention the Baroque Residence created in 1719-1744. This palace is decorated with amazingly beautiful frescos. Today the palace is used to hold festivals devoted to life and music or Mozart.
