Basilica of Constantine is one of the oldest architectural places of interest of Trier. According to some reports, it was built in 310 by Constantine the Great, and was used as a throne room. The building was converted into a church only in the beginning of the 19th century. Kurfürstliches Palais is a prominent architectural monument. St. Paulin's Church is one more place that is also worth visiting. The beautiful cathedral was built in the middle of the 18th century. Beautiful wall paintings are the main decoration of the church. The drawings were made by skillful masters immediately after the construction. Gilding was the only material used in painting of the elegant patterns that cover the walls of the church. Trier Cathedral is an important tourist attraction. The construction of the church took place in the 4th century. This is one of the oldest shrines of the country, and so many interesting stories and legends are associated with it.
