The city has adopted the system of cashless transfers. Credit cards are accepted in any upscale restaurant, shopping center, supermarket store and filling station. One should have enough cash during tours to local outdoor markets and private stores located far from the city center.
Shops and public offices get .open at 9 am and work till 6 -7 pm. Thursday is considered to be a prolonged working day. Top banks, post offices and shopping centers may work till 8pm. Saturday is considered to be a shortened working day. All the shops and other institutions and establishments are close till 100.
Tipping for good restaurant and café service is a common practice. 10% of the total order sum will be quite enough. It should be noted that local gastronomy establishments always greet guests with house specialities and welcome drinks. One will be considered a regular guest after two or three visits to a place.
Bargaining is acceptable at the outdoor markets and in private stores however one should not reckon upon a considerable discount. At best the price will be reduced for 5-10% and in some cases a buyer may be offered additional goods free of charge instead of the discount.
