Löwenburg Castle is one more important destination for excursions. The castle was built in the end of the 18th century and has survived in its original form till our days. Just like several centuries ago, the fortress is surrounded by a deep moat, and it is possible to enter the patio only through the drawbridge. The ancient castle is open for visitors. The statue was bought by the city several years ago after an international exhibition. The bank of the Fulda River is the location of a monument in the form of a huge pick. The huge pick looks very impressive, surrounded by scenic nature.
