Another important attraction is the Stadtkirche Sankt Marien, the age of which is more than seven hundred years. The church is a rather amazing from an architectural point of view; the construction was originally made in the Gothic style. During the last renovation, one of church’s arches was rebuilt; at the same time, the building continues to look very impressive and harmonious.
One should see the building of the Old Town Hall founded back in 1292. Many centuries ago, it was located in the center of the most vibrant and scenic market square of the town. No less imposing is the beautiful building of New Town Hall; the length of this brick building is more than 180 meters. The building is constructed in neo-Gothic style; nearby is a very beautiful landscape garden. The Bomann Museum being one of the most important cultural institutions in Northern Germany is situated in Celle. The total area of the exhibition is about 5500 square meters. Diverse historic and artistic exhibits are represented in its collection; its walls regularly host contemporary exhibitions.
