Each district of Berlin is full of different monuments and sights, each of which is unique and may be very interesting to curious travelers. The eastern part of the city is the location of the so-called Museum Island (Museumsinsel). This place has always been a magnet for fans of art for many years. There is a large variety of museums on the island. The most famous are Pergamon Museum, the Old and New museums, Bode museum and Old National Gallery.

Local cultural institutions usually feature large collections of historical and archaeological artifacts, works of art and national costumes. Unter den Linden Boulevard also deserves your closest attention as many notable architectural sights are located along it. During the walk guests will see Humboldt University, Palace of Princess, Brandenburg Gate, Palace of Crown Prince, Berlin Cathedral, and the world famous Adlon hotel. Each of these buildings is considered a valuable historical attraction; many of these buildings have been turned into museums and art galleries.

Fans of long unhurried walks should visit the park named Great Tiergarten (Großer Tiergarten). There are also some places of interest on its territory. These are Church of St. Matthew, one of prominent religious sights of this place, and a famous historical monument - Victory Column. Walk to the middle of the park, and you will reach a beautiful area called Big Star. There is one more park near the city center. This is Treptower Park mostly famous for its memorial cemetery, where are buried the Soviet soldiers who fell in World War II. You will see numerous interesting monuments installed in the park. The majority of them are the reminders of the tragic events of the war. The suburban areas of the German capital are also full of various attractions and places of interest - Tegel Palace, Pankow Town Hall, Marzahn Village, and a beautiful Weisser Zee Lake – visiting at least a part of those remarkable places would be interesting to any tourist.
