In 1998 Lyon's town center was put in the UNESCO World Heritage List (at that time only a few cities could boast of it). Every corner of Lyon has its own distinguished features, which you will never mix with each other. Another thing that makes Lyon stand out is the contrast in the placing between Fourviere Hill and Croix-Rousse Hill. It's also special that it takes place between two rivers – the Rhone and the Saone. Speaking about the heritage of this city, we can't consider it two be just a typical city in the north of France or a traditional city with Latin influence. Lyon has this specific mixture of the two styles, and maybe, this very mixture makes it so attractive and charming.
