Le Mans Apartments

Le Mans is a city in the southwestern part of France, located on the Sarthe River. Le Mans is also the capital of the province of Maine. There are about 146 000 citizens living in the city.

Le Mans was built by the Romans in the third century AD. A lot of ancient buildings were preserved in the city from those times. You can see the amphitheatre nowadays, which was built by ancient Romans.

The other interesting place in Le Mans is the Cathedral of St. Julian, dedicated to Saint Julian of Le Mans, the city's first bishop. The cathedral is a great and beautiful piece of Gothic style in architecture. Palace of Comtes du Maine is the other outstanding building of Le Mans. It is the birth place of Henry II of England. Le Mans is the host city to the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans sports car race since 1923.
