Without a doubt, Notre-Dame Cathedral is the permanent symbol of Le Havre. This magnificent cathedral was built in the first half of the 16th century. During its long history the building was reconstructed many times and so it has completely changed its look. The only element that has remained from the original cathedral is a bell tower built in 1520.
