In the center of the largest lake region of Denmark is located a small town named Silkeborg. On one side the town is adjacent to Gudenaa - the longest river in the country. The other side of the town borders with several large lakes and a forest.

Here you will also find a special exhibit of old Danish glass, ancient jewelry and artifacts from the ruins of Silkeborg Castle, a collection of stone tools, as well as the most tremendous freshwater aquarium in Northern Europe.
