The center is of the city is marked with the Square of Independence. This is a huge pedestrian zone. There is no transport here and so nothing breaks the calm and measured atmosphere of this place. On the square are located 2 large cultural centers – the Varna Dramatic Theatre and the Opera Theatre. The neighboring square is named after Cyril and Methodius. Dormition Cathedral is also located here. The building of the cathedral finished in the end of the 19th century. Each Sunday here take place liturgies in which participates the most famous male choir in Bulgaria.

This park is 80 hectares big, and on its territory you will find the Culture and Sport Palace, the Planetarium, and the zoo that organizes dolphin performances.
