Sofia is the city with history of more than three thousand years. Scientists suppose that the Serdi (the Thracian race) created it at the end of the 8th century or maybe earlier. Surrounded by the Balkan Mountains from the northern side and by the Vitosha Mountains from the southern side, the capital of Bulgaria can really boast of picturesque landscapes.
