The holiday is the time for numerous interesting events, concerts and performances. However, the majority of residents prefer to leave the city for the holiday, and relax on the countryside. Republic Day is a family holiday. On the evening of the celebration day the main square is always crowded with people as here takes place amazing fireworks.
